Getting married is one of life’s happiest moments. Figuring out what to do with wedding keepsakes and duplicate appliances in a tiny New York City apartment is not. That’s why newlyweds Sarah and Evan Cheng signed up for Clutter.
A quintessential New York couple, Sarah and Evan met three years ago through a mutual friend at the infamous NYC landmark, Brother Jimmy’s. They hit it off immediately, and the rest is history.
They married April 5, 2014 just outside the city in Tarrytown, New York. Their first dance was to the Boyce Avenue version of “We Found Love.” Their honeymoon took them to Maldives and Dubai. They soaked in the sun and the sights, drank cocktails on the beach, and enjoyed their first days of married life.
The real adventure, though, began after the honeymoon when Sarah and Evan began their lives together in 450 square feet. Let’s just say that the honeymoon was officially over as Evan tried his very hardest to make space for Sarah in his one bedroom, one bath micro-apartment.
Sarah felt hopeless as she struggled to make his man-cave into a comfortable home for two. She didn’t know where to begin, and as the 200+ wedding gifts started to pile up, she knew she had better figure it out and fast.
Googling storage options, Sarah discovered Clutter, and knew she had found the answer to her prayers. She signed up and had bins delivered right away. She and Evan tucked away registry gifts, wedding keepsakes, and all traces of Evan’s bachelor days.
Three short months later their apartment was finally complete. They’d even successfully made enough room for a new addition to their family, Penny Cheng.
No, Penny’s not a baby. She’s an adorable dachshund-terrier mix who the couple rescued and welcomed into their home and hearts with open arms.
What’s next for this happy couple? Who knows, but Clutter will be there for them whatever and whenever their next transition may be.
