Kensington is considered a suburb of Washington DC. However, it’s also relatively close to other Maryland neighborhoods that supplement Washington DC. To the southwest, you have Bethesda. To the east, you’ll find Silver Spring. Each of those locations offers tons of things to do with your time.

Kensington’s economic stability is one of its many highlights, making Kensington a wonderful place to live. Some people choose to live in Kensington and then commute to Washington DC each day for work. Others prefer to live and work in Kensington. Whichever you choose, it’ll be easy for you to find a house or apartment in Kensington. The area is quite capable of giving a potential resident everything they could ever need in a home.

If you’re a big fan of antiques, make time for Antique Row. The assortment of antiques there is always changing, so you never know what treasures you’re going to discover.

When you’re finished, or if antiques aren’t your thing, consider visiting the Mormon Temple. It’s routinely visited by people who simply want to be awestruck by the size of the place. 

Also visit the National Park Seminary, which has to be seen to be believed. When you get hungry, Continental Pizza is a must. Ask residents of Kensington, or people who know the DC suburbs backwards and forwards, to tell you about the best pizza places in Washington DC or even Maryland, and Continental Pizza will almost always make their list. There is also an excellent Chinese restaurant in town called Chinese Gourmet.

Beyond that, Kensington is a rather quiet neighborhood and a wonderful place to live.
