Named for nearby Fenway Park, home of the Boston Red Sox, this densely populated urban neighborhood is also the site of some great shopping and restaurants, as well as plenty of parks. The Muddy River, which marks the neighborhood’s southern boundary, has a number of memorials, green spaces, and picnicking spots along its banks. 

As with most of the greater Boston area, ethnic cuisine is very good: Rho-Dee Thai and Thaitation are two local favorites for authentic, spicy Thai. Sweet Caroline’s Restaurant & Bar is another great spot for good eats as well as craft beers and cocktails. Fenway is known for its nightlife. Try the Seven Deadly Sins cocktails at Church, or enjoy a cold beer at Bleacher Bar during a Red Sox game.
